After a first collaboration in Brooklyn for the Sin City music video, we reunited with Middman in Paris for a new visual session. The goal was to extend the dark and immersive aesthetic of the first clip while adapting it to the unique atmosphere of the French capital. The city itself becomes a character, capturing both its monumental grandeur and its urban coldness. To achieve this, we leaned into CRT glitches, desaturated colors, and bursts of artificial light, reinforcing the contrast between Paris’s timeless majesty and the modern solitude of the artist.
We started filming around the Arc de Triomphe, playing with speed and time through a striking shot: Middman stands still, detached from the world, while cars rush past in the background at high speed, creating a sense of displacement. From there, we moved into the Paris metro, where the graphic lines and metallic coldness of the subway added a new dimension to the clip. Low-angle shots, digital reflections, and optical distortions immerse the artist in an altered reality, a space between physical and digital worlds.
To conclude, we shot under the Bir-Hakeim bridge, taking advantage of its iconic architecture and stunning view of the Eiffel Tower. Middman’s silhouette, isolated beneath the iron arches, stands against a backdrop of golden lights and nighttime traffic, reinforcing the contrast between Parisian elegance and the raw energy of his universe. A visual journey between dream and reality, where the artist moves like a specter through a city that never stops.
